it is official...the store is closing the end of the month...

It is official...we gave our landlord our 30 day notice...
and I am not looking back...
ok...maybe a little...
this was such a hard decision...it isn't like I am leaving the vintage business... I am expanding at STARS ANTIQUE MALL...
and next year I will be doing more shows...
and still conducting estate sales...
and getting my ETSY shop up and running...
I do have such wonderful regular customers that I will miss so very much...
and Elaine at Bella Flora has become such a wonderful and dear friend...
but I still live in the neighborhood...
and I will start to have a little bit of free time beginning in November...(what is that"free"time?)
and I have all sorts of planning to do for next year...
and I have to admit...this was one of my toughest decisions that I have ever made...
stop by the store or send me an email if you want me to add you to the "show" list, cuz at least one of the shows next year will be at my house...
and all day today (and probably this next month)...I must remember to "not look back"...

Melanie and John: Since moving to Portland last November I have enjoyed all my visits to your wonderful shop and I am sad that you will not be there, but I hope to continue our "friendship" and keep in touch at your estate sales and shows. I know the decision was difficult, but I'm sure that it is the right one for you because you made it. Life presents us with difficult choices and challenges all the time, but it is those very choices and challenges which lead us to our ultimate individual destinies. So, I wish you only the best and though I am sad about the closing of the store, I am happy for you and your future endeavors.

Oh, I have such mixed emotions. Overall, I am excited for you and your new adventures. I think about having my own shop once in a while and then when I think of what that really means I step back and move in another direction. But you just redid the whole place!!!! I will to by to see you before you close. And just keep looking ahead!! Annette

I closed my vintage store 2 years ago. My father and I owned it together and after his passing it just seemed like the right thing to do.
There will be mixed emotions in the days ahead, just keep moving forward. So many wonderful adventures are just around the corner for you. Promise.

Ohhhh!

But, I love the store.... It's like a little home. I will miss it horribly!

If you need help packing, moving, transferring let me know, I'd love to help!

Much love. :(

Mel,
I know how hard this decision has been. But you're such an optimistic person, and I know that once you make up your mind you look forward, not backwards.
You work harder than anyone I know at the vintage/antique business, and you'll always land on your feet if you stick to this passion!
