what is it about cows?

I kid you not, if I had more land I would own a cow. Not to eat...but to have as a pet.
we used to travel to Garibaldi every weekend when my hubby and I first got married (23 years ago)...
he used to have a side job as a skipper on his very own 35 foot fishing vessel...
and as we cruised through Tillamook, if the cows were any where close to the fence on the back roads...I would stop and pet them.
I am not sure he ever got used to me wanting to do that...
so...
no surprise that two of my favorite paintings have cows in them,..

what do they say? I need three for a collection?

so...always on the hunt for just one more...

We've had cows and enjoyed them...hubby enjoyed milking them. But I hated!!! when they got out of their fenced in corral...usually right before church....and me in my heels...and of course you can't leave them out...you have to chase them.
After the one we had stuck it's tongue out at me as it ran by...and we are huffing and puffing chasing it...I suggested sweetly to hubby that he sell her!
Hahaha...true story.
Blessings,
Debbie

LOVE those paintings! But I must admit, I'd rather see a cow in a painting than anywhere on my property...hahahahah!

I know what you mean about cows. They are very romantic and always found in art. I have a pet cow that lives at my friends farm. Lulu Belle. I go and feed her a few times a week now that there is plenty of grass for her. I just did a post about my collection of cow creamer, you might enjoy. Thanks for sharing. I love these pictures! Did you have them hanging on your wall in your family room? I know I was admiring those pictures that evening..can't remember if these were the same ones. I love cow pictures too ;-) Lisa

I too have some kind of fascination with cows! Never owned one, never been around them much, but they just make me smile! I would love to own my own Bessie someday!
