Where bloggers create 2012

In my studio, I surround myself with all of the vintage things that I love...

drawers and shelves of trinkets and books....

 letters, ribbons, glitter...
 inspirational items on the walls...
and see through hat boxes with vintage ribbons and lace...
 my quirky squirrel collection...
and bins of hardware, trinkets, and scrabble holders...

and letters...I just can't get enough of them and use them so very often in my tags, plaques and creations...

this little Venus drawing pencil box was cheap, because it was missing two drawers...did I care?
but of all the things that you will find in my studio...
I must have dozens of jars filled with, well pretty much anything that you can think of...from blocks and clothespins...
 glue and scissors...
and even Star Trek and Star Wars toys (yep...way in the back there...cuz you never know when you might need a starship or a Jedi...)

so thank you so much for stopping by my vintage playroom...
and thank you Karen Valentine for sponsoring this event...I soooooo look forward to everyones studio, every year!

Oh my gosh, Melanie. So many things to inspire you to create, and they are so well organized! I really need to spend some time on my multi-purpose room!!

It's my first time participating in studio visits and I'm so glad to have found wonderfully inspiring spaces like yours! Though not as chock-full of treasures, my crafty nook is a bit more colorful than many of the muted, natural, or whitewashed studios I've seen so far, so it's wonderful to find a vibrant spot such as yours.

I do hope you'll drop by for a visit- thank you for the inspiration!

Michaele

Oh my goodness, I've died and gone to heaven! LOOK at all of your paper! And wow, I'm thinking you're probably a Tetris master by the looks of all of your storage. I've been smiling as I visit everyone's creative spaces.... we all seem to have the same white wooden desktop organizer!

Thank you so much for sharing, and do drop by for a visit!

Ha! Gotta love technology Melanie: I've got two windows open so I can visit multiple blogs, and for some reason Blogger decided to post both of my comments in your window.

Wow, you are the only other person I have come across who shares my love of squirrels! It started for me with my favorite children's book, "Little Miss Suzy", which is all about a squirrel and I have been hooked since!

I also have a terrible fondness for letters and scrabble tiles so I was drooling over your beautiful collection.

Your space is lovely and very inviting. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

I feel like Im a kid again and looking in to a candy store, so much to see, love it. I really like the two different drawers, the green venus and the one with the numbers on it, so neat!!!
I also love different kinds of letters, the older they are the better... But hard to find around here.

Very fun and creative space.
