the delivery truck (with the goodies) is supposed to be at the store by 9 am...now, my delivery guys are wonderful, but not always on time...
so....yes- if we are there and unloading...we will sell to customers( yep, sometimes we open early)

I really have to stop shopping...

while I was out shopping my hubby made this greenhouse...
I have bought 7 birdbaths in the last month...(maybe 8)...
as many trellises...
lots of cement...
a wonderful loveseat waiting for a new cushion and some love...(get it? "love" seat?)...
hubby made two potting benches while I was out...this is one (forgot the pic of the other)...
this is one of two matching iron loveseats that I bought...LOVE these (wish I could keep 'em)...
and I have been plant crazy lately...and metal and Italian clay crazy (buckets, tubs, watering cans, flower pots...)
gads...more plants...
yep, those are ferns in a vintage coffeepot...can't resist "weird" plantings...

buying trips and WEEKENDS!!!

these next two weeks are going to be a little crazy...so my 200th giveaway will have to wait for a few weeks. those that have commented...I promise to keep your names...and I will post the giveaway again to give all a chance. we thought that the next two weeks the store will be closed on weekdays , and just open Saturday and Sundays...
we aren't exactly "OFF"...but going on some extended buying trips during the week...and collapsing at home at night...so...watch for some really awesome stuff that will be at the store on the weekends...have already picked up some fabulous garden chairs, lounges, statuary...and more!
P.S. If you are looking for the perfect gnome or deer for your garden...you might want to hit the store on Saturday...

MONTICELLO GARDEN SHOW!

a mere 10 feet long by 5 feet deep...
suddenly, you stumble in to the boxwood...
and the tower of garden cars/wheelbarrels are just waiting to be planted...
some enamel tubs are preplanted for you...others just waiting for pansies and marigolds...
a basket of flowers (I mean teacups) are waiting to be picked...
and the mini greenhouse would love to be on your porch!
A bouquet of wire baskets...
and a baby crow settling in the birdbath...
Momma crow is waiting in another birdbath...
wondering why all the bird's nests are in glass...
plantings are tucked under tables...
and on top of tables...anywhere you look in my booth...you will find plants!
and I am certain that this family would like a new home...
hope you can make the show...these are just pictures from my space...there are so many great spaces that I was wishing and hoping that I had won the lottery so that I could buy a barn and take it all home!

200th POST- giveaway...GIVEAWAY...giveaway

some of you have been there since the beginning...
when the store was empty...
or just barely full...
when the photographers flocked to my window display...
and when I honored my mom on the anniversary of her death.
Some of you even knew me when I had a store in Sellwood...
and one of you was with me as we crammed all of these globes in the back of your car !!!
you were with me as I turned 50 and received my own little retreat in my backyard...
or as the seasons changed...as my windows often did...
but mostly you have commented, looked at, shared, and have been out there as I journey through my life, as a store owner, wife, mom, daughter, sister. For this I am so very grateful.
Until this morning, I had no idea that I was posting my 200th...so...
I do believe that 200 calls for a very special and very large (mini) giveaway...
so how about 200 small vintage items...from buttons to wallpaper to tags to fabrics to books to...who knows what else?
I will check my personal stashes, at the store and at home...and start rounding up the items.
I will picture them in the next few days...
