vintage wallpaper for sale

I have a huge selection of vintage wallpaper that I will be selling at 

 the Plucky Maidens show in August...

 These ones are all about 14" by 14"...perfect to cover journals or make tags...

 or bookmarks...or backgrounds for shadow boxes...

 these are all from a 1933 vintage wallpaper catalog...

 that I have had for years and years...

 oh...and there are soooo many more styles...

 and I even have some rolls of wallpaper, too!

so...if you are at the Plucky Maidens show on August 16th...at Edgefield (see my sidebar for more info!)...
I will have lots and lots of bits and bobbles, ephemera, and old old stuff to rummage through...
did I mention vintage linens? oh...so many linens...

tell them you love them...

I experienced one of my saddest moments today. A 26 year old young lady, that had been in my middle school and high school youth group, died on June 11. Her memorial service was today. There were so many of her young friends and adults there...and the pain was in everyones faces, but I have to say that I have never seen so much pain as in her parents faces.
If you love someone, tell them...life is just too short...

It's a jungle...in here...

I bought this tree for my son years ago...it was about 6" tall then...and now we can use it for a Christmas tree (we had small vintage ornaments on it last Christmas!)...standing at almost 6 FEET...

 These I have had just for a little while, I think they are going to go to STARS...my cat looks as though he is in the jungle, yet he is where he is NOT supposed to be, and that is on my dining room table...

 This elk horn fern used to be in our store...it had two small leaves, and was about 6 inches long...

 now, it looks very alien-ish (and the leaf span is over 3 FEET!)...but it fascinates me in its largeness...

The Norfolk Pine tree for sure is a keeper...my son wants to take it with him, when he moves out...
but the others...
just not sure... this house is too small for a jungle...

while purging the studio...

 I'm listing things on ETSY that I don't use anymore...

the studio...part 1...what a mess...

I found that I could not post a before picture...

I was just too embarrassed...

 Notice that there are not any photos that picture the floor?

 That is because there are so many piles that you can't find the floor...

So...perhaps by the end of next week...I can post more...
I am headed to Eugene for some girl time Monday and Tuesday...
hoping for some successful picking down there...
perhaps I should knock on doors just like the American Pickers?

Thursday SCORE!!! I am sooo happy!

when someone that knows you says "go to this sale"

 you should go!

 Happily, I picked up my friend Elaine and we were off on an adventure...

 To the "west" side of Portland...

and look what I bought...I am sooooo happy...SCORE!

CREATE...

This is my first true vacation day...

this is my plan...

Day 1... reflections on my school year...

what I learned this year:
1. If you make a drastic change in your life, your life changes drastically.
2. You can memorize things with an old brain.
3. 18-25 year olds are really not that scary.
4. School is for all ages.
5. Most professors are smart.
6. There is always at least one annoying person in every class.(don't let it be you)
7. There is always drama on campus during final week (bomb threat, guy with gun in parking structure...just to name a couple)
8. Don't ever give up.
9. Ask, and sometime you receive. I received a $1000 scholarship in the middle of the school year because someone donated the money, I had a professor sponsor me for it, and I got it. But you have to ASK.
10. Even if I don't go back next fall (haven't decide yet but did enroll for 16 credits), it was one of the best experiences of my life. I made it through an entire year of college, something that I had never done before, and my life has changed.

ESTATE SALE in VANCOUVER this Friday and Saturday

ok...as much as I would like to take a few days off... after all, school is out...can I hear a YEE HAW!!!! but... I have 2 days to set up an estate sale for THIS Friday and Saturday... it is a small one, but neat stuff! some vintage tables, dressers...and fun little stuff... I will get some pics to you tomorrow but I did want you to know... IT's OFFICIALLY SUMMER... (yep, all CAPS!!!!!) so next week... after the estate sale... I am taking some time off with some of my buddies... Next week I am going to bury my head and rest a bit... then, well, big plans... I will let you in on the plans...soon...

new junque on the horizon...

John has been busy in his workshop...creating furniture from found objects... and I have been busy in mine...I have sorted my vintage letter stash...think I will take these to the Plucky Maidens in August if I am chosen as a vendor... And another from John...He used to make these yardstick tables all the time for our store...he hasn't made one in ages...so to encourage him I bought 36 vintage yardsticks :)... Sure hope I get chosen...I would love to do a one day sale in August!!! here's hoping... I will keep you posted... does anyone know why my layout is all crooked? I can't seem to fix it... I hate this new blogger...

a tower of vintage luggage...

I am going to re-do my space in STARS on Wednesday...I am taking a tower or two of luggage to STARS... I sold a bunch of furniture in MAY...so my space at STARS looks just trashed...(YEAH!) so if you are in the area on Wednesday...I should be there most of the day... stop in and say HI... I am not sure why blogger is so crooked today... how strange...

I am selling off some of my vintage stamp collection...

I have soooo much...

it will probably take me forever to list them all...

but I do love them...and am hoping to pass them on to another vintage stamp lover...I will be listing more of them all week!

Purples...

I have to admit, I love a happy accident...

some of these purples in the garden I planted...others were carried by the wind...

this huge lavender plant was in a huge cement urn...and begging for more space... so I happily planted it right by the greenhouse...

as I was lingering in the greenhouse...I looked up at a shelf by the window... and realized that I had a collection of purple glass... a little scary...a collection by accident (because there are lots more than these)...

so unconsciously I have begun a new collection of purple glass and purple flowers... yummy! hope you all have a great weekend...
