After hubby dropped me off to work, he took the car with the treasures( but not the bed, we made arrangements to pick it up on Monday)...
When he got home from work, the TV tray was gone... He had left the car unlocked... Need I say more?
So, I ranted and raved and cried and posted on Facebook my sadness( it was to be a gift)...
So on Monday night I drove to pick up the bed, and couldn't remember where the sale was...( why would I write the address down?)... However, the policeman that pulled me over for speeding, liked my story of the lost garage sale so much, that he only gave me a ticket for having no proof of insurance...( oops)
Could this purchase get any more dramatic???
So I took my current proof of purchase in to the station the next day, where I had an animated and long conversation with another officer ( so loud we were that another officer had to shush us, and some of you know how much I love that!)...
So then, I still had a bed to find...
Finally remembering that I wrote a check, I googled her name, and found her husbands' number...( she had said he was a wood artist...)... He found my police story quite humorous and gave me their address...
We picked it up last night... And lo and behold, look what never made it in to the car...
The cowboy TV tray...
It is on its way to the person that I wanted to gift it to TODAY... Before anything else happens!!!
To all if you that we're so sympathetic to me, thank you... Your kind words meant so much to me...
My wee brain just is / was too full of work details that it was just on overload.., for the next few weeks you will be happy to hear I'm focusing on STARS and my new studio...and a bit of playtime...
My current Words of wisdom--
No speeding in West Linn
Always have a CURRENT insurance card...
Write down where you buy your purchases...
Don't conduct three estate sales in 14 days...
Make time for play....
