Has it really been 6 months??

6 months???

Yes, business as usual...

About 2 estate sales a month, 2 mall spaces, my studio space...it's been busy...

And next month? 

A wedding!

What is sure to be the highlight of our lives, my son is getting married...

The announcement was made at Christmas time, and we are soooo delighted with the new addition to our family!

So, in lieu of lots of words in this post, here's some pictures of the studio.

The year in review...

This has been quite the year for my family...

We bought a tiny, sweet little house (723 square feet)

My business has been crazy busy...

I opened a second mall space at Grand Marketplace in Portland

But with the good ...

We did have a bit of sadness this year...

Our sweet Mandy went to doggie heaven after 17 years of daily love...I miss her every day...

But life moves forward...

My fabulous son turned 21 this year( how did that happen?)

And now we are in my favorite month of the year!

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas season...

Transforming the studio...

I've been purging, organizing, selling, and decorating the studio...since moving, it's been ignored and just used for storage...

So I accomplished the new look on one side...

The drawers have been gone through and organized...

The shelves have been sorted...

The cupboard shelves are pretty...

And I can work again...

Soon I will have another studio sale...

These photos are just a tiny sampling...

I have been away...but busy...

So after being renters for about a year and a half, hubby and I decided we wanted to buy a small house...

So for our first project, we decided to renovate the garage and loft...

As you can see...it's really not pretty...

The open door against the back wall led to stairs that were so steep that it was like climbing a ladder...

And it just did not have any attractive qualities at all...

So we built real stairs...

Lined a wall with cedar, and refinished the workbench..

And also worked a bit on the actual house...

But we are a long way from being done...

So we keep on working and remodeling 

And working and remodeling...that's why 

I've been gone from blog land...

But business at Stars Antique Mall continues to flourish,

As does biz at Grand Marketplace...

And my studio is still my happy place...

 I hope to post more often...

Where have I been??

Im sorry I have been away, for far too long. Some of you have sent me kind emails, asking what I'm up to...

1. I've been trying to find a house...my current landlord has decided to sell, so we have been hunting for housing since February...

2. We have had a very serious family crisis, that has been keeping me occupied.

3. I've been conducting lots of estate sales.

4. My mall spaces at STARS and GRAND MARKETPLACE are hopping!

5. My studio, my creative happy place, is ever evolving.

So, here are a couple pics of some of the items that are at the studio...I will throw open my doors this Wednesday from 3-7...

Vintage treasures to sell...

I have been busy...

I have been working on purging my studio and my home...

We are getting ready to move again...

So I decided what a perfect time to clear out some of my treasures and move very little to our next home...

And although I have no idea where that new home will be...

I know I continue to love living in small places...

I'm sure it will still be in Portland or a surrounding suburb.
