WOW!!!! So many of you came...THANK YOU...and its not over yet-

Sunday is half price day...and even though we sold hundreds of items today...there is still TONS left...so we will be open at 9 am...til 3 pm...still lots of WONDERFUL items...
I have been doing estate sales for 15 years and this was one of the best first days ever!!! thanks to all you blog readers and store customers that came... so fun to see familiar faces in West Linn...and to all of the West Linn folks that turned out by the hundreds just by following the signs...THANKS! see ya tomorrow!

ESTATE SALE INFO...

There should be a list on the door. the address is 5891 W. A street in West Linn...remember that even though I advertised 9 am...I will try to open by 8 am...
so...if you can swing by and sign up on the list-
however...if you arrive at 10, 11, 12...there is PLENTY of wonderful stuff...even on Sunday...I am sure there will be loads to buy!
and please, don't bother the family and /or workers inside...
security is on sight, all days and nights.

IT IS ALMOST HERE>>>the ESTATE sale not to miss!

this Saturday and Sunday is the sale to be at...Saturday's hours are 9-3 (but we might open a bit early!) and Sunday's hours are 10-3...and Sunday is half price under $50...and we might even do a bargain Monday for a few hours (to be determined Sunday) there is so much in this house that I am sure there will be great treasures left, at least for Sunday!
there is literally something for almost anyone...so much packed in to this house, I had to borrow extra tables and shelves...there are boxes full of great stuff even under the tables...the garage is packed, too!

sneak peek #5...CHRISTMAS

the pictures don't do these justice...they are about 5-6 inches around...HUGE glass ornaments...
sometimes I wish this was someone elses estate sale...since I make the commitment not to buy anything unless it is around for half price day...
cuz my weakness is Christmas...and there are just beautiful ornaments...tiny and huge...
and lots of sizes in between...boxes and boxes of them...
but maybe there might be one or two left for half price??? Doubt it...they are gorgeous!!!

the only word that fits...SCORE!!!

sometimes you can hunt and gather for days...
and not find anything cool...
and once in a great while...
you find a family that is cleaning out Grandma's house...
and they know you have a store...
and they like you...
and they even help load the car...
they laugh as you scream with delight...
at the treasures that you will sell off and share with someone else...
and Grandma is even so very delighted when you share with her that you are keeping some of ...
her prize possessions...
or that will get built in to something else...
or that clock that HER Grandfather brought over from Germany...( that I will likely make in to a shadow box...)
and the typewriter that I will keep, with the typewriter table...
in a very treasured spot in my living room...and the magazine rack with the raised flowers might make it to the store...or might not...
but what a fun sale to arrive at...they made me laugh and cry at the stories of their treasures...
and I get to pass on a lot of their treasures to my customers...
SCORE!!!

every cupboard is stacked full...
from an Amish heater...
to fifties tin...
to an antique carved chair...
to a two sided pieced quilt (HUGE!)....
there is a lot of different categories covered...
loads of bar ware...
antique irons were used as doorstops(ok...not the wee one!)
and at the last minute I nabbed a couple of shots of a dresser and bedside table...although there are double beds, some unique retro furniture...
I will get more photos of furniture tomorrow...
and the walls of books...old and newer...
and did I mention the pillow closet?
and lots of lamps (floor lamps, too!)

I think that at one point I had read every Nancy Drew book in print...there are only a few missing in this set!
so much to price...

hunting and gathering...drawers, butter pats and ???what is it?

ok...I know those are antique butter pats... but behind that? Is it a stool? Is it a chair for little Miss Muffet? I have had these before, and sold them before...but have always wondered? What is the delightful little thing that looks like a stool in the yummy fabric? And how old is it?
found another vintage garden chair...this summer I have bought and sold more of these than ever before...
a close up of the darling butter pats...so very pretty...
drawers...I can't resist the little drawers...this appears to be a childs cabinet...do I keep it or sell it...it is way cuter in person!
and more drawers...this pencil cabinet is missing a couple of drawers, but I think I might have to keep this one...not sure yet...in my little cigar box sized house, if I keep something then I have to sell something...what will stay? what will go?
