weathered and wonderful...

needed a break...
took a wander...
felt myself relax...
as I pulled a few weeds...
and marveled at the gray sky...
and the weathered cement...
and the weathered chair...
and realized how very lucky I am...
to be able to take a break in my very own yard...
and just relax for a few moments...
surrounded by plants and things I love...
and now, back to studying for my mid-terms... hope you all are having a relaxing day...

Wonderful! Yes, you are very lucky to be able to go into your yard and relax...I went into my yard for an impromptu "photo shoot" for some etsy items and as I hung my item on my lilac bush I was overwhelmed with the wonderful fragrance! Relaxing indeed!

One time, during a rather unplesant medical procedure, the doctor tried to distract me by asking where my favorite vacation spot was. I immediately replied that is was by own backyard. She was quite surprised and said that was the first time she had ever heard that response. I am happy to hear I am not the only one who finds that comfort in their garden!
