day of rest...

thanks again for all that came out to A Vintage Gathering this weekend...and especially thanks to those that supported me in the chaotic weeks before...
I am going to enjoy a day of rest...or maybe a couple of days of rest...

a funny after note from a Vintage Gathering show...

ok...so just a note...
if your flip flops seem to be hurting your feet...there could be a reason...
yesterday afternoon, towards the end of the Vintage Gathering show, I realized how tired I was because my feet hurt, and they rarely hurt...
I put the same flip flops on again today to go picking...and after shopping the first estate sale, I took off my flip flops cuz they were hurting again...my hubby flipped it over... and voila! a tack!
so...I took off the other one...and voila! another tack...
oh...but it was a great show and was worth the pain!

so many people took pictures of this ladder in my space...

 and the show was a HUGE success...

 there were more people there than I could possibly have imagined!

 and they were sweet, supportive...and in a buying mood!

 adirondacks....sold...gold chairs...sold...plantstands...sold...dresser....sold...painted tables...sold...

 washtubs...sold...I was just astonished how wonderful the sale was...and so pleased...the other vendors

 were so very nice and welcoming...and I felt honored to be there amongst them all...

 this show rookie was so happy to be there and to be a part of such a fabulous group of ladies (and a few guys!)...

 so...thank you thank you thank you to all of the wonderful customers and vendors...

 I had an amazing couple of days! tomorrow...I think I will be a couch potato...watch a few movies...

 and kick my feet up!

again, thank you all for coming out! What a beautiful couple of days! and...I am sorry that I didn't get pics of other booths...once I got set up ...it was time to open...and then I really didn't leave all night and all day Saturday...(didn't even shop!)...

Did I mention buckets? Somehow, this hoarder (oh, please say it's not so...) has accumulated just a few...

so...they are off to the show as well...(sorry, not the stand...it stays home with me...a girl has to keep some things!)
I have sooo much more than I have pictured...I am certain now more than ever that some of this is going to have to hang from the rafters...

A Vintage Gathering show...sneak peek #1

ok...this is just a glimpse of what is happening around my house...

 there are piles of totes marked "SHOW" everywhere...

 and there are items piled in every corner of my wee house...

 inside and out...

 remember...this is just a FRACTION...of what will be at the show THIS FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY...

 did I mention how EXCITED I am to be in this show with the best darn vendors/women around???

 SO EXCITED!!!

 the one and only thing pictured here...that I am having a hard time selling...

 is MR. PENGUIN here...oh...he is soooooooo cute....

 I will let you know if he has already found his permanent home (here) or if he will be at the sale...

 and I will try hard to get more sneak peeks throughout the week...cuz I have a darling dresser...

 tables...benches...

 at least one birdbath...maybe two...

 and just oh so much more...

 I am even going to share my letters and some of my ephemera (not pictured yet...)

and glass? yep, blue and clear...and maybe even purple...

Where bloggers create 2012

In my studio, I surround myself with all of the vintage things that I love...

 drawers and shelves of trinkets and books....

 letters, ribbons, glitter...

 inspirational items on the walls...

 and see through hat boxes with vintage ribbons and lace...

 my quirky squirrel collection...

 and bins of hardware, trinkets, and scrabble holders...

 and letters...I just can't get enough of them and use them so very often in my tags, plaques and creations...

 this little Venus drawing pencil box was cheap, because it was missing two drawers...did I care?

 but of all the things that you will find in my studio...

 I must have dozens of jars filled with, well pretty much anything that you can think of...from blocks and clothespins...

 glue and scissors...

 and even Star Trek and Star Wars toys (yep...way in the back there...cuz you never know when you might need a starship or a Jedi...)

 so thank you so much for stopping by my vintage playroom...
