Plug me in! Vintage jeweled Christmas tree in a frame...

So I have had this for quite some time...and it did not work...

so ages ago I bought a new set of lights for this tree...

 and it sat, and it sat, and it got moved, and it sat...until finally today...since I was home not feeling too good...

 I thought what a perfectly (annoying) great project to do while resting...

 so I replaced EVERY SINGLE lightbulb on the string (of course, the string that I had bought for it didn't work either!)...
but by replacing all of the little bitty light bulbs...it finally is showing all its glory!

of course...now I am not so sure about selling it! (which was, of course, the whole reason I bought it!)

the perfect (funky) vintage (painted) table...

We needed a table that could be a dining room table, and yet be the "library" table, too. It is in a space that you see when you first walk in the door, so I wanted something cheerful that could stand on its own without a tablecloth...

 so while shopping at STARS...I saw this table that was for sale in the owners temporary pop-up store just up the street from STARS...

 and I just knew that this was the one...and lo and behold...the hubby thought it was perfect, too!
 ( the bookshelves are not organized at all...just threw the books on there for now...and in the first pic, through the door, is the studio)...

 so we brought it home and had Thanksgiving dinner around it...

 and this is a little bit of the living room. I have been a bit weary today...so after a little bit of Black Friday shopping, I realized that a day doing nothing was in order...
the boxes can wait...

so cuddled on the couch with the dog, blanket, in front of the fire, computer on the table...I am finding the cottage cozy and quiet...

Unpacking...

when I moved...I didn't realize just how much stuff I had...

 I will certainly be selling a lot of my vintage garden items...

 this is just the beginnings of my studio...

 and this is the first pics of the library /dining/ extra room...

 I am forcing bulbs right now, so this is a shot of one of the windowsills...

 this is a not so messy space...a chair safe from the piles of the rest of the house...

 finally, this is my yard...what I look out at all of the time...it is so secluded and serene...

as I unpack boxes...it seems as if more materialize...there is a vintage sale in the future...will anyone come out to West Linn for it?

A treasure that I have had all along...and didn't know it...

First off, let me explain...

I mean no disrespect to any of my relatives...

I have had this photo of this woman for about 30 years...

my grandmother gave her to me...

I think it might have been her mom or grandma...

I know she is family...

but absolutely no idea who she is...

but since I am moving (again) and she is moving with me...

I thought before I wrap her up, again, (by the way, she has NEVER been hung on a wall, or been out of her box...NEVER...) and she had broken glass covering her, that I should finally take the broken pieces off...

 this is the back of the frame. You can see how old this is by the phone number... 54!!!

 so once I took the back piece off...imagine my surprise!
after ALL THESE YEARS...

well...I absolutely love these Mother prints...so I am going to put my long lost relative behind the Mother print, and in my new house, hang her on the wall...and my relative (whoever she is) will finally be out of the box and on a wall...
Of course, now I am wondering, once again, who is she?

 ok...I really, really like the white vintage tree...I am trying hard to let go...

 even this small silver one is vintage... it has a gorgeous plastic 1960's stand...:)

and yep, this really lights!
I am having so much fun going through all of this vintage Christmas...

Did I mention the 6 foot tall pink aluminum tree for the PLUCKY MAIDENS show?

 It is definitely complete...original box...
